I love when a map order comes with a built-in theme like sailing. This Rhode Island bride sent me a rough sketch of what she had in mind which included two nautical flags (see the left corner). Additionally, the reception was going to be held at a yacht club and had its own flag. Add a lighthouse, a sailboat, a bridge – et voilà – we had a maritime map. This map was delivered in both blue and black digital files for a DIY print job.

There’s more to come from this Save the Date, but for now, it’s a secret… 😉

Quite a while ago now Vera Devera with Va De Vie Events contacted me about doing a wedding map. She was still in the planning stage then for her “My $10,000 Wedding,” the name of her blog and the goal for her own wedding. If you haven’t check her out and read about the amazing things she did on a budget. Just the other day Vera sent me an email with a few links to share. This one, with a nice little snippet about her map on her blog, and this one, on the Budget Savvy Bride about her wedding and a breakdown of what she spent on her wedding. The map is a fully elevated and digitally colored map of the Bay Area, California. The colors match the suite and the wedding colors. It was great working with Vera and I love to see these fabulous wedding pictures!
